KGU Schools Host an Online International Exchange Program on Sustainable Energy and Biodiversity
2022.04.14
From February 26 to March 12, the School of Engineering and School of Biological and Environmental Sciences hosted an online international exchange program on sustainable energy and biodiversity, joined by faculty members and students from seven universities in four other countries. This initiative follows the “Water Challenge” online international exchange program, which was held last year.
Other than KGU participants, about 100 people from Amity University and Biyani College from India, Udayana University and Padjajaran University from Indonesia, and National Taiwan Normal University and Tunghai University from Taiwan joined the program. Not only did the program participants discuss local initiatives rooted in each country and their solutions, but they also addressed common issues, leading to lively discussions each day. Although the international exchange situation continues to be restricted due to COVID-19, the School of Engineering and School of Biological and Environmental Sciences are proactively continuing their efforts to engage with their international counterparts. This initiative was chosen for the Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science (Sakura Science Program), which is planned by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).
