School of Business Administration Professors Selected for the JHPCN, a Collaborative Research Center

The Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructures (JHPCN)

A group consisting of Professor Masayuki Jimichi of the School of Business Administration, Professor Chika Saka of the School of Business Administration, Associate Professor Shuichi Nagata of the School of Business Administration, and Associate Professor Daisuke Miyamoto of the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo, was once again selected for the core institution of the Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructures (JHPCN) in AY2021, following the group’s selection from AY2017 through AY2020.

The JHPCN is made up of eight centers equipped with supercomputers. These centers are the Information Initiative Center of Hokkaido University, the Cyberscience Center of Tohoku University, the Information Technology Center of the University of Tokyo, the Global Scientific Information and Computing Center of the Tokyo Institute of Technology, the Information Technology Center of Nagoya University, the Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies of Kyoto University, the Cybermedia Center of Osaka University, and the Research Institute for Information Technology of Kyushu University. This is a network-type joint usage and collaborative research center, and its core institution is the Information Technology Center of the University of Tokyo. (Quoted from the JHPCN page)

The group will present their AY 2020 research results at the Center’s 13th Symposium, which will be held online on July 8, 2021 (Presentation title: Visualization and Statistical Modeling of Financial Big Data).
